We tried to make those handprints with watercolor paints but the colors did not turn out bright enough. Tempera paints yielded much better results (fingerpaints would, too!). When they were dry, we decorated them with felt-tip pens.
Before you place the child’s hands on the paper, show your little one where the heart is. Some might be a little confused seeing it upside down. Now let’s get messy!
